    Navigating Workplace Ethics

                                            Presenter: Deputy Tom Miller                                                Certified Ethics Trainer- New Mexico Law Enforcement Academy

    This training will discuss common terms and definitions of words associated with discussions with Ethics (Morals, Values, Virtues, Stakeholder). When it comes to defining ethics, it is surprising how people’s interpretations of this word differ. The participants will be given modern day examples for Morals, Values, Virtues and Stakeholder.

    Discussion of the differences between:

    • Consequential Ethics
    • Non-Consequential Ethics

    Discussion regarding distinct ethical philosophies:

    • Character Ethics
    • Situational Ethics
    • Duty Ethics
    • Divine Ethics
    • And more

    The participants will explore Aristotle's belief (Character Ethics) and how we can arm ourselves against unethical behavior and ways to strengthen our workplace “ethical muscles.”
